Firearms Licenses (Weapons Carry Licenses):
Weapons Carry Licenses are by appointment only. Please call (229) 758-4110 to schedule an appointment.
1.) Must be 21 years of age or older (if under 21, must have proof of completed basic training or honorable discharge).
2.) Must bring Driver's License.
3.) It costs $78.25 for a new license, $30.00 for a renewal license, $6.00 for a replacement (bring cash, check, or money order).

4.) Procedure:
- Fill out application in office or click HERE to submit online.
- Take picture and sign license.
- Make payment to clerk.
- Take fingerprint cards and form to be filled out to the Sheriff's Office.
- Return completed fingerprint cards and signed and completed form to the Probate Court.
- Once fingerprints are completed, background and criminal history checks are processed.
- If approved by the judge, the license is sent to the printer.
- License should be mailed to our office within a week of being sent to the printer.
- Total processing time is 10 days to two (2) weeks.
